Noise Action Week for South Gloucestershire Council

Officers from South Gloucestershire Council’s Environmental Protection Team are using the Environmental Protection UK Noise Action Week to encourage patrons to leave licensed premises quietly. They have chosen Noise Action Week to raise awareness ahead of the summer period; kicking off with the Football World Cup where an increased risk of complaints is likely.

Their Environmental Protection team will be writing to all licensed premised within South Gloucestershire to remind licensees of their responsibility to avoid noise complaints, in an attempt to prevent disturbance by customers arriving at or leaving premises.

Officers from the Council’s team will be also visiting licensed premises during Noise Action Week to offer advice.
